Mono printing is a printmaking technique that produces a single, unique print. In this workshop, you will be introduced to monoprinting using a durable, reusable gel printing plate by Gelli Arts. The gel printing method does not use a printing press. We’ll begin by covering the basics of mono printing, which includes the additive, subtractive and combined methods of printing. After that, we’ll leap into learning several techniques for creating one-of-a-kind, multilayered prints using recycled materials. What can you do with the prints? To name just a few ideas, use them in handmade greeting cards, scrapbooking, collage, art journals, art quilts, fabric paper, mixed media projects or book making. You will be provided with supplies to make a quick and easy project during class (if time allows) using one of your prints.

You will be presented with some inspiring tips and tricks to help overcome the fear of a blank canvas and silencing the gremlins allowing you to show the canvas who’s boss!
