50 Weeks to Go!

50 weeks to go!

“A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.” (Lao Tzu)

So much of the Lancaster Fiber Festival is being brought together through leaps of faith and amazing people! This week we saw the first booth reservations arrive. We have over 13,000 square feet of booth space and anticipate having over 100 vendors in booths of various sizes. Three booths have been reserved which is a good start to the Festival goal! Exhibitor lists will soon be added to the website as well as a map of the Vendor Hall which will be updated weekly.

Also in the Exhibition Hall you will find a stage that will host free demonstrations by our teachers, guild volunteers, vendors and manufacturing partners. It will be an active and fun area in which you can learn a new technique or skill that will expand your craft knowledge or take you down a new path to a new medium. Demonstrations will take place every half hour and will last 15 to 20 minutes each. So far, we will offer Kool Aid yarn dying, cord making, and spinning. Many more to come!

On the map you will notice an area marked: Event Store. In this area you will be able to meet & greet teachers and purchase their books for them to autograph. You will find a range of products that will include various teacher’s patterns or kits, event logo merchandise and some basic supplies you might need for a class, just in case you left something at home. A schedule will be up in the Store, in the program and on the website closer to the Fiber Festival opening. So much is happening and we hope you will check out our website and Facebook page every
week to find the latest information!
