2018 Lancaster Fiber Festival in Lancaster, PA
Please join us August 16-18, 2018 for The Lancaster Fiber Festival: A Celebration of Paper, Fabric, Yarn & Thread!
This is a three-day retail and educational event that will take place in the Lancaster Convention Center and Marriott Hotel in Lancaster, PA. What makes this event unique is that it will bring together a wide range of mediums including: paper crafts, Zentangle, calligraphy, quilting, sewing, knitting, crocheting, felting, spinning and weaving, hand embroidery and other fiber arts all at one location. You will be able to learn techniques and tips as well as get a chance to try something new through in-booth and stage demonstrations and classes.
We expect to host over 100 vendors from around the country. From hand dyed yarn to Zentangle and calligraphy pens or beads and metallic threads or notions and fabric. You will find a variety of unique and interesting supplies, books, patterns and other materials to enrich your craft.
The Festival Event Stage will host a total of 38 free (with admission) 15 to 20 minute demonstrations. Demonstrations are scheduled on the hour and half hour during this three-day event. Demonstrations will give you a chance to learn from our nationally recognized teachers, vendors, manufacturers and local guilds. You will be enjoy learning to: spin, dye yarn with Kool Aid, make a silk cord bracelet and many other fun and informative topics.
You will be find a wide range of topics from both nationally and regionally known teachers. Classes will be offered in 2-, 3- and 5- hour time slots. Make your plans now to join us in Lancaster next summer for this amazing event!
The Convention Center was completed in 2009 and will be undergoing renovations and updating during the summer of 2017.
